My objective in creating these pages is to publicize license plate
pictures with a few facts that may interest and entertain the casual
web surfer and perhaps encourage them to become a license plate collector.
I am not trying to provide a comprehensive
document on license plates.
My pages are about license plates and I am NOT trying
to make political statements.
For more detailed information on license plates, please consult the
books and booklets mentioned on my Literature
Page or any of the newsletters provided by several of the license
plate collector clubs to their members.
Most of the information provided on these pages is taken from the
books and newsletters listed on my Literature page.
If you are predominantly interested in license plates from the
United States and Canada, consider joining
ALPCA (Automotive License
Plate Collectors Association), based in the United States.
If your interest lies in license plates from other parts of the
world, I recommend Europlate
based in Great Britain with agents in the Netherlands, Germany, the United
States and Australia.
Both clubs mail newsletters (ALPCA: 6 per year, Europlate: 4 per
year) to their members with up-to-date information
on new developments in the license plate world, thorough articles,
pictures, trade/for sale lists and a lot more that you will enjoy if
you are interested in license plate collecting.
