HOW TO READ AND DECODE U.S., CANADIAN AND MEXICAN LICENSE PLATES

This handy book contains computer generated color pictures of current licence plates (passenger, special issues, motorcycle, non-passenger, etc.) of U.S. states (not inluding U.S. territories), Canadian provinces and territories and Mexican states.

There is information on county codes, weight codes, and some other information relating to license plates but it is not trying to be be comprehensive.

The coding system used on U.S. governmental vehicles and U.S. diplomat license plates is listed and addresses of U.S. and Canadian Departments of Motor Vehicles is given.
